Formosa Plastics Group has been promoting 5S and a no leakage policy since 1993. In recent years, Formosa Plastics has been developing raw materials, energy, water and waste recycling under the concept of circular economy to strengthen the efficiency of resource usage. The company has incorporated AI, AI + simulation, digital transformation and other technological management measures since 2018 to carry out new energy and carbon emissions management.It has reduced carbon emission by 9.65 million tons since 2007, a reduction of 15.7%. As the current trend is changing, Formosa Plastics will strive to cooperate with national policies and move towards the goal of carbon neutrality.
