Transport carbon reduction strategy under the UK 2050 net zero framework

In 2021 the UK published its long-term strategy to decarbonise all sectors of the UK economy to meet its net zero target by 2050. To achieve the targets, the UK’s carbon pricing policy may need to become more ambitious and may present challenges and opportunities to the UK industry. This presentation introduces the UK’s Net Zero Strategy and addresses the discussion surrounding carbon pricing mechanisms in the UK. This presentation will also cover whether and how the UK’s net zero objectives impact the industry and other sectors.
